Eyfs Framework January 2025. After the tragic death of 9 month old oliver steeper in september 2021 due to choking on penne pasta, the department for education has made changes to the early years. The eyfs framework sets the standards to make sure that children aged from birth to 5 learn and develop well and are kept healthy and safe.
From tomorrow, 4th september 2023, a revised eyfs statutory framework comes into effect. The department for education (dfe) has outlined several safeguarding changes to the early years foundation stage (eyfs) framework which will come into effect on 1 september 2025.
